Sorry...

Almost 2 weeks have gone by without a post..Sorry I haven't been blogging.
I have been busy. Busier than usual. Lots of catching up with old friends, lots of laundry, lots of cleaning, lots of printing pictures, and lots of family time. Starting a business is time consuming, with a vision and lots of research. I'll leave you with this picture for now, and I promise lots of posts coming!

my first cake

So Riley had her first birthday party!! whooo hooo!! It was such an amazing day. Riley did so well, and enjoyed every one who came. She powered through the whole 6 hour 'open house' and took one small nap towards the end...she was such a trooper! The best part of a one year old party is the cake. First of all, take a look at the cupcakes! (Cupcakes were done by Sarah Witt. Click here to see more of her sweet creations.)


So Riley was such a little lady when that cupcake was sitting right in front of her. She wasn't sure what to do, while everyone was staring at her. She only put her fingers in it at first, until we forced her to take a bite, then marky came out with more frosting (cool whip) so she can get dirty...she was still very dainty about it. Got some really cute pictures though.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY RILEY RAE!!!

Riley was born at 2:31 am last year...I can remember every single detail as if it happened last week. Every single minute of that 24 hour labor was WELL WORTH IT! This morning when she woke up, I cuddled her and told her the story of her birth (hahah...like she knows what Im saying! haha).
I tried sitting her on our scale yesterday to let you know how much she weighs, but the batteries were dead. Bummer! Today we are throwing Riley her birthday party with all of her family, and I am so excited! Lots of pictures to come... here's Riley's pictures on the day she was born, and then the other 2 I took this morning.

One year ago...

One year ago today at 2:30 am, I woke up with contractions!!!...so much emotion happened at that time! do i try to fall back asleep? do i wake up marky? do i call my dr? i went with falling back to sleep. Glad I did, since it was a LOOONG day! Finally headed to the hospital at 4:30pm after getting some Jamba Juice. It's so weird that one year ago today Riley was making her way out...didnt come out, but all the action was on the 16th.

3 years ago...

ONE of the best days of my life. I remember being so eager for the ceremony to start, and not wanting the day to end! I love everything about that day....especially the small moments. Like reading our vows, Stephen's amazing first wedding, Eddie singing Amazing Love, Joshua our little ring bear, jumping across the aisle instead of walking down the aisle, the feeling as Marky slipped the wedding band on my finger, and of course the first kiss. Thank you Marky for taking care of me, being a Godly husband, and loving me unconditionally. Looking forward to celebrate our 50th!

3 Year Anniversary

On the 14th, we happily celebrated our 3 years of marriage! Yeaaa!
We took 2 days this week and headed for some time in Catalina with out Riley. :( We were so blessed on this amazing little getaway! We took 200 pictures!...yes 200! But dont worry, I wont post ALL of them, haha.. just half.

We had the blessing of some locals (Loyal customers of Marky's who live on the Island) who took us to the other side of the Island--I had no idea there was life other than the city! So he drove us 15 miles and we stopped at an amazing private beach where the Ocean was as Blue as Hawaii!...me and marky did some exploring, hiking, and then Marky did some surfing.

a HUGE congratulations goes out to my very sweet sister-in-law, and soon-to-be-brother-in-law Victoria and Isaac!! Isaac took Victoria to the Summit House for dinner, then they walked on a grass area where there's a gazebo, sat on a tree just talking, then...Isaac got on one knee asking Victoria to be his wife!!


Victoria now has a BEAUTIFUL and PERFECT diamond ring on her left hand!
We couldn't be happier!...Congratulations!

Meet Jordan...

For those of you who don't know, this is Jordan!...Marky's (mine too!)very talented cousin. She is absolutely awesome in soccer, kills it in softball, and on the basketball court. She has also just taken on the sport of golf, and won her very first golf tournament a few weeks ago. She also has taken on playing guitar....Im telling you, she is AWESOME and WILL excel in anything she wants! So here we are last sunday, at Aleta's side of the family Christmas gathering, and JORDAN LEAD US IN WORSHIP! Im telling you, it touched my heart more than I can even say....Just watching her Praise OUR Lord with her talent, and not to mention that she has the sweetest voice! Jordy, we love you so much and we are so proud of all your accomplishments already! We cannot wait to watch you excel in all other areas of your life. You are so special to us...I pray you can teach Riley all that you know!

Marky made these cars when he was in EIGHTH GRADE! He made them in his woodshop class, and earned an A...and his sister Bethany told me last night, that he even won an award for these cars! So here we are almost 15 years later, and now Markys daughter is playing with his wooden cars!...such a sweet bonding time!

I had such a fun time meeting up with Mindi, Chris, and her sweet 3 kids, Crue, Summer and Broc. I cant remember the last time I saw her, so it was such a treat to meet up for lunch and to see her kiddos...Sorry Chris, I didnt get a picture of you! :) Looking forward to hopefully meet up again in this new year!
