my first cake

So Riley had her first birthday party!! whooo hooo!! It was such an amazing day. Riley did so well, and enjoyed every one who came. She powered through the whole 6 hour 'open house' and took one small nap towards the end...she was such a trooper! The best part of a one year old party is the cake. First of all, take a look at the cupcakes! (Cupcakes were done by Sarah Witt. Click here to see more of her sweet creations.)


So Riley was such a little lady when that cupcake was sitting right in front of her. She wasn't sure what to do, while everyone was staring at her. She only put her fingers in it at first, until we forced her to take a bite, then marky came out with more frosting (cool whip) so she can get dirty...she was still very dainty about it. Got some really cute pictures though.
