8 months

Pulling herself UP

Yes...this week Riley has mastered pulling herself up. It started in the crib, then the couch, on somebody, and almost the coffee table! Here's a picture of her after she did it for the first time...she was so proud of herself!

Riley Update

So I finally got Riley into the Dr. for her Well Check-up. She was supposed to go at 6 months, but I called when she was almost 7 months, and to earliest was this past friday. She'll be 8 months next week. The Dr. said Riley is very healthy and very strong! a whopping 17 pounds 9 ounces. ( I swear she weighs 25 pounds! 17? really? only 17 pounds? shhesh!) 28 inches long. Rolls over? yes. Sits up? yes. Crawls? yes. Babbles? yes. Sleeps through the night? yes. Riley is on track with everything!...well almost everything. Just no teeth yet. :( She's definitely teething, they're just not ready to pop out yet. Maybe she'll get all 4 at once! YIKES!!!! Then I asked about the red bumps she often gets under her eyes, looks like they may be allergies. But dr said nothing to worry about, they'll go away. now for food. Yes on rice milk and fruits and veggies. any meats? Nope. then--ready for this? Riley is now ready for ALL FOODS! (all foods!?!?!?) yes, start giving her food off your plate!!! (what?!!) if you're eating rice and beans, give her some. avocados--give her some....its time to let her experience all foods. (wait-am i hearing this right? all foods for my baby? baby?--is she even a baby anymore???) Waaaaaa!!..... SEE YOU AT HER ONE YEAR APPOINTMENT! So of course on our way home Marky wanted to stop at El Pollo Loco and gets a burrito, and as soon as we get home, he feeds her rice and beans! haha...she was sooo excited!

Now Riley has a bit of a cold. A little snotty nose the past few days and yesterday woke up with a little cough. She's such a trooper. Even though she's feeling a bit sick, she sure doesn't show it!

Jayden Kai Craig

Our good friends Jono and Sherry welcomed their precious baby boy yesterday, Jayden Kai. He is a healthy 7 pounder and Sherry had an awesome labor! Congratulations you guys!

Teething Bars

Tonight we gave her a Teething Bar...i knew they were messy, but they were a funny messy! We had a crack up watching her munch and play with this thing! She got it everywhere, that she couldnt even open her eyes! haha.

Thanks Sally for buying these for her! Kept her busy for a good 30 minutes!

Dylan Appreciation Day

Dylan's in town!! YEEAAHH!! We've all missed him so much...and Riley FINALLY got to meet him! Today we spent the day with Dylan. Started at Pikes Cafe in Newport Beach for breakfast then off to the beach. Here are some beach pictures. Riley loooved the sand! Crawling all over in the sand, then of course; eating it. Then Dylan took her in the ocean, and of course LOVED the water...even though it was a bit on the cold side for her...it didnt phase her!

Goofy

Riley had her first "un-official" trip to experience DISNEY. My good friend Carol and I were lucky enough to track down and grab a few good pics of her and Goofy!! yea! She's still too young to be scared, so she enjoyed sitting down with Goofy

7 months!

So last week Riley turned 7 months!

here's an update on Riley...

-she crawls like crazy and is fast!

-she loves to smile and laugh.

-she is expanding to her solid foods, such as bananas, apples, carrots and peas.

-still no teeth

and is such a joy to us!

'Wale' Watching

Yesterday Eddie left with 8 high schoolers to WALES on a missions trip. He will be back on the 28th. Please pray for Eddie and the sweet high schoolers. To keep up with the travels...check out the blog.
